5 Ways to Enhance Sexual Intercourse

Although foreplay of various types can be very pleasurable and even orgasmic, when it comes to sexual activity, intercourse is considered the "main event" by most couples. Not all couples are not getting as much out of as they could, though. With a few simple "hacks," sexual intercourse can be more fun, exciting, and pleasurable for both partners. Here are five simple ways to enhance sexual intercourse.

1) Practice Kegel exercises.

Strengthening the pelvic floor muscles can enhance sexual intercourse for both men and women. Practicing Kegel exercises can help men maintain their erections and control ejaculation, and help women have more powerful orgasms.  Kegels can be practiced without anyone knowing that you're doing them, even while you're doing something else such as driving or watching TV.

2) Use delaying techniques.

Generally speaking, women need 10-20 minutes of intercourse in order to have an orgasm, but many men cannot maintain an erection or delay their ejaculation that long. In addition to Kegel exercises, the squeeze technique and the start-and-stop technique can be used to delay ejaculation so that the woman has sufficient time to become fully aroused. .

3) Try new sex positions.

Many couples fall into a rut of using only a couple of sex positions. Different sex positions provide different sensations by varying the angle of entry, tightness of the vagina, and depth of penetration. Couples should explore various positions to determine which ones work best for them. Don't think that you should constantly change sex positions during a single sex session, though. That can actually reduce sexual excitement. Only change to go to a more stimulating position, or to rest after having been in one position for a while.

4) Vary thrusting speed and rhythm.

Many men have just one main thrusting style - fast and hard - but there are many ways to thrust during sexual intercourse. Changing the speed, angle, and depth of penetration help hit various "hot spots" in a woman's vagina and help her become fully aroused. Generally, intercourse should start with slower, shallower thrusts and build to faster, harder, and deeper penetration.

5) Stimulate the clitoris.

Only about 25-30 percent of women report being able to have an orgasm from intercourse alone. One reason is premature ejaculation on the part of their partner, but another that many sex positions don't provide enough clitoral stimulation. When exploring new sex positions, the amount of clitoral stimulation the woman receives is an important factor to consider. Also, the man can manually stimulate his partner is some positions, or the woman can stimulate her own clitoris while the man thrusts.

It can be hard to change habits, especially old habits,. The best way to approach change is to change one thing at a time. Pick the tip that sounds easiest or most appealing and try it out. It can't hurt, and it could boost your sex life to another level.
