Meditation can reduce stress and help us relax, but it can also give us a lot more. These are six benefits of Tantric meditation.
In most cases, the intent of meditation is to produce a relaxing and calming effect on the mind and body. The benefits of Tantric Meditation go a bit beyond this by stimulating certain sensations and areas of the body involved in sexuality.
Tantric breathing techniques are the most esoteric area of Tantra. They do not involve simply sitting still and taking deep and slow breaths. Rather, the steps in Tantra breathing uses specific exercises, movements and sounds related to the kind of breathing required. These types of breathing exercises result in some of the major benefits of tantric meditation. They include a heating up of the body, which leads to heavy sweating, improved blood circulation and a resulting detoxification effect. As a related benefit, the breathing exercises release endorphins, improving your feelings about yourself. Read more

Intimacy is supposed to take a long time to develop, but there is a shortcut: eye gazing, sometimes called soul gazing. Women Awakened explains the practice.
What if I told you, that you can create almost instant intimate connections with just about anyone? Most people wouldn’t believe me, because they imagine that finding someone they can connect deeply with takes time and effort.
I'd like to share with you a simple exercise called Soul-Gazing, which was introduced to me by Tantric Master, Steve Piccus, designer of a system of tantra called White Tiger Tantra.
Whether you are currently in a relationship and have lost the passion or you are out looking for a partner, Soul-gazing allows you to connect heart-to-heart, soul-to-soul in a matter of minutes. Read more

If you’ve ever had a good, long look at the human penis (and I think most of us have), you’ve probably wondered about why it's structured the way it is. Tantra teacher Suzie Heumann has some ideas.
It's Darwin's 200th birthday this year and we'll be hearing a lot about him, I'm sure. I'm looking forward to seeing the new movie Creation, which is about his life and will include a look at his fear of reporting all he understood about evolution. Given the Victorian culture he lived in, no wonder he hesitated for some 50 years before he put On The Origin of Species out to the public.
My own evolution wanderings have caused me to wonder for a long time about why the human penis is structured the way it is. Why would evolution make the penis have a head on it, with an obvious bulbous, almost ad-on bigger part? Why does it have that extra skin, the foreskin, added to the mix? And, for that matter, why is that skin cut off (I know about the religious part, I just mean how did it really start)? I won't be covering that one.
I have some ideas about all of this and I'm hoping you'll chime in too. Read more

Tantra teacher Lisa Schrader says a woman's breasts are the gateway to her heart and the key to awakening more of her Shakti.
Our breasts are the gateway to our heart. How do they want to be loved?
As women, we are energetically positive at the heart chakra and negative in the sex chakra. It means we often need to be touched and “meet” at the heart—both emotionally and physically—before the energy can drop into our womb and open us to deeper sexual expression.
If you’re looking to awaken more of your SHAKTI or sacred feminine life force, I invite you to develop a more unconditionally loving relationship with your breasts. Read more

Your state of mind affects your sexual response. Lauren Fritsky explains how your mind can improve your sex life.
Your partner seduces you into the bedroom. You take off your clothes, climb into bed and... start thinking about the laundry, your belly pooch or the fight you had with your boss. If this happens to you when you hit the sack, you're not alone. Many women's minds turn to everything but pleasure during sex. Why do we do this? And how can we stop it?
Women are natural multi-taskers, which is helpful in daily life but can distract us in bed, when we should be focusing only on our pleasure and our partner. In addition to life's responsibilities, we bring emotional troubles into the bedroom, which can take away from our enjoyment—sexual and otherwise. Read more

Here are some excerpts from an interview with Osho about the difference between "normal" sex and Tantric sex.
Your sex act and the tantric sex act are basically different. Your sex act is to relieve; it is just like sneezing out a good sneeze. The energy is thrown out and you are unburdened. It is destructive, it is not creative. It is good -- therapeutic. It helps you to be relaxed, but nothing more. The tantric sex act is basically, diametrically opposite and different. It is not to relieve, it is not to throw energy out. It is to remain in the act without ejaculation, without throwing energy out; to remain in the act merged -- just at the beginning part of the act, not the end part. Read more
